Special Campaign Events Still Going Strong!

Today at York County Community College campaign coordinator Ellen is selling pies for United Way. I was at the college this morning and Ellen had pies that fellow coworkers had baked on sale for $10 a pie. Those who bought a pie or made a pie got a free raffle ticket. The raffle tickets were good for many prizes one of which was a close parking spot for the cold Maine winter months!

Selling pies, raffle tickets and 50/50 tickets is a great way to be able to get all at the college including faculty, staff and students involved!

GREAT JOB Ellen!

Exciting Campaign Kick Off at Downeast Energy

Today at Downeast Energy in Kennebunk I was able to stop over and enjoy a kick off BBQ with the staff. The hamburgers were great and the homemade pasta salad topped off the meal. That wasn't all that was going on today...they also had a couple fundraisers happening during their BBQ. The fundraisers included:

A putting contest - employees paid $1.00 for two tries at a hole in one. If you got the hole in one you were able to put your name in to win one of the three raffle prizes they had on display. They made the putting green out of a carpet runner and a box upside down with an arc cut out of it.
A manager's face on the hole added a motivational touch

Pie-In-The-Face Contest - employees could pay $1.00 to hit the manager of their choice with a whip cream pie in the face.

The event ended with a lot of sticky managers, a lot of happy employees and a good amount of money raised for their United Way campaign!

Thank you Downeast Energy for the great afternoon!

Today is the last day before the Loaned Executives arrive. We have a great team this year! We have one LE loaned to us from Hannaford Brothers, one part time LE loaned to us from HomeHealth Visiting Nurses of Southern Maine and then we have two sponsored part time LEs sponsored by The Baker Company, Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution and Community Banks, Southern Maine Medical Center, SMMC Visiting Nurses and SMMC PrimeCare.

I have met each one of them and I am very excited for Monday to arrive and have our team together for a great week of training!

Stay tuned you just might get to meet one or two of our LEs in the upcoming Campaign Coordinator Newsletter.

Campaign Planning Underway

I had a meeting last week with the campaign team from William Arthur, what a great team! They are planning a week of events in September. They are organizing a carwash, bake sale, and basket sale. One event for each Thursday of the month.

The basket sale is an event that Goodall Hospital also does. How it works is each department comes together to create some kind of gift basket. This gift basket can be filled with food, gift certificates, spa and skin care products, etc... whatever the department chooses and then the basket will be out for the entire workplace to see and buy raffle tickets to try to win the basket.

William Arthur added their own twist to this special event by having the basket that gets the most tickets win a pizza / salad party for the creators of the basket (department) for having the most popular basket.

Great motivation to see a campaign team so excited and willing to try new things!

Keep up the great work Campaign Coordinators!
